Hanwha Techwin participated in the ISC WEST 2017, the largest security show in the Americas for three days from April 5.

Hanwha Techwin began to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) CCTV by partnering with AI technology leader NVIDIA.

NVIDIA is a global company that develops and manufactures GPUs (computer graphics processing units), and is currently leading the world in AI technology. Hanwha Techwin will expand business cooperation as a technology partner of 'Intelligent Image Analysis Platform' developed by NVIDIA at the ISC WEST 2017, America's largest security exhibition held in Las Vegas for three days from May 5.

Hanwha Techwin will focus on the development of artificial intelligence cameras and storage devices that can detect abnormal situations in a scene being shot on their own by applying NVIDIA's intelligent image analysis platform.

Such advanced AI cameras will enable people to manage traffic volume or detect abnormal situations in urban surveillance areas or to obtain marketing information by analyzing customers' movement and preference products in stores in the retail sector. By doing so they can offer not only videos but analytical information that can replace human judgment ability more quickly and accurately.

"Our global partnership with NVIDIA will allow us to preemptively secure the technological competitiveness of security technology based on artificial intelligence based on the Fourth Industrial Revolution," said Lee Han-seop, head of Hanwha Techwin’s Security Business Division. “Through this initiative, we will provide better security products and solutions, and will do our best to dominate the global market."
