Buying Treasury Stocks
LG U+ announced on March 23 that vice chairman Kwon Young-soo bought 20,000 shares of treasury stocks in the market and was holding them.
Vice chairman Kwon Young-soo bought 20,000 shares of treasury stocks worth about 290 million won which raised the number of his LG U+ shares to a total of 40,000 shares (0.01%). LG U+ stated that vice chairman Kwon’s stock purchase hinted at his strong confidence in achieving responsibility-based management and finishing first in the company’s new business.
In addition, LG U+ forecast that vice chairman Kwon’s purchase of the treasury stocks will contribute to enhancing shareholder's trust in the management and shareholder value.
In the meantime, LG U+ recorded the highest earnings since its merger in 2016. This year, LG U+’s earnings are expected to improve thanks to its growth backed by management efficiency and its differentiated competency.
