Paradise Segasammy announced that the company will open its first-phase facilities consisting of a hotel, a foreign-only casino, and a convention center in Paradise City, a multi-resort built at International Business Complex (IBC) of Incheon International Airport on April 20.

Paradise City (http://www.p-city.com/?language=EN) is a new project launched by the Paradise Group in 2011. The group launched the joint venture project with Paradise Segasammy of Japan, and invested a total of 1.3 trillion won (US$1.1 billion). The total site area is 330,000㎡. Paradise City is scheduled to open in three years after its construction began in November 2014.

Paradise City consists of 12 floors from two basement floors to 10 aboveground floors. The first-phase facility features a 6-star hotel with a total of 711 guest rooms, fancy restaurants, bar and lounge, the largest foreign-only casino in Korea with a total of 440 state-of-the-art gaming machines, and a convention center that can accommodate up to 1,600 people.

Paradise City, a complex resort where customers can enjoy culture and arts at the finest hospitality facilities, has exterior design with the motif of a “patchwork wrapping-cloth” concept developed through cooperation with industrial design master Alessandro Mendini. Its interior boasts works of not only world-renowned artists such as Damian Hearst and Kusama Yayoi but also high-profile Korean artists such as Lee Kang-so and Oh Su-hwan.

Paradise City is five minutes away by maglev train and a 15-minute walk from Incheon International Airport. The complex resort is expected to bring new vitality to the tourism industry by providing the best MICE facilities for international conferences, corporate events, and Korean cultural wave (Hallyu) events as well as a relaxing space for Korean and foreign tourists as it has good access to the Seoul metropolitan area.

"Paradise City, the first complex resort in Northeast Asia, has been made possible due to 45 years of experience and know-how accumulated by the Paradise Group which has been leading Korean tourism," said Chun Phil-lip, chairman of the Paradise Group. “Please wait for the opening of Paradise City with great anticipation. Paradise City will make new history in Korean tourism."
