KOWEPO’s consultation meeting for export.

Korea Western Power Co. (KOWEPO) invited foreign buyers jointly with its operations & maintenance (O&M) business division at the Rabigh power plant in Saudi Arabia for two days from March 6 and held a consultation meeting for export.

KOWEPO, which runs O&M business at the Rabigh power station with an installed capacity of 2 × 660 MW located on Red Sea, Saudi Arabia, has identified technical problems at the plant through engineers, who were sent to the nation, and analyzed domestic accidental cases to resolve them. By introducing excellent Korean products, the company created an opportunity to make foreign buyers personally visit its partner company.

In addition, KOWEPO arranged one on one matching event with participating companies’ technology after reflecting the needs of foreign buyers in advance so that the consultation meeting could lead to actual purchases.

The buyers who visited production plant at first hand and were amazed at the top-level technology of Korean small and medium-sized companies, will tour integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) facilities and units 9 and 10 of the Taean thermal power plant at the KOWEPO headquarters in Taean in South Korea on March 8. They will also visit the Pyeongtaek power plant, which is similar with the Rabigh power plant, on the 9th to solidify mutual trust for stable O&M technology provision.
