Café Sapoon Sapoon can accommodate up to 120 people at the same time as it has seats in a spacious indoor space and outdoor terrace on the first floor of KT&G Tower in Gangnam-gu. Customers who can not only take a rest but also work and have meetings at the café so the number of customers has continuously increased after the café was opened in July last year. Recently, customers averaged out to three to four hundred per day.
Sapoon Sapoon is a compound word of Saponin, main ingredient of red ginseng, and Spoon, a tool to deliver taste and nutriment of food. Sapoon also means “a figure of light and careful step” and “light and refreshing state of body and mind” in pure Korean word.
Café Sapoon Sapoon’s popular menus are “Ginseng-ccino” and “Cold Brew,” which are also signature menus there. “Ginseng-ccino” allows customers to enjoy coffee healthily with six-year-old red ginseng of Cheong Kwan Jang, receiving positive reviews for taste and healthy ingredients. “Cold Brew” is gaining popularity with unique plating as it is served with large and rounded ice cubes.
Café Sapoon Sapoon is also focusing on improving the taste of beverages. The café uses micro lot coffee beans which are specially managed and produced in limited quantities at a small farm to make its specialty more unique. It has also used a hot brewing machine dubbed “Blossom” for the first time in the domestic industry to keep the taste and flavor of hand drip coffee its best which can vary depending on baristas.
In addition, there is a total of 47 menus at the café, including fair trade herb teas with the USDA organic certifications and milk enriched ice creams.
