‘BIO KOREA 2017’
The BIO KOREA 2017, the largest bio technology trade show in Asia, will take place in COEX, Seoul, for three days from April 12, co-hosted by Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) and North Chungcheong Province
In particular, this year’s event will the largest ever consisting of confereces to share the latest technology information about healthcare industries, business forums to establish technology trade and network systems between businesses, exhibitions to display the latest healthcare technologies and products and job fairs to introduce healthcare jobs.
The BIO KOREA 2016 was participated in by 700 companies from 45 countries and 23,000 visitors, which is the highest number. During the event, 1,239 business deals worth 246 billion won (US$215.6 million) were discussed between participating firms. With such results, the event established itself as the nation’s largest business partnering event for biotechnology. The BIO KOREA 2017 is also expected to be as successful as last year’s event.
An official from the KHIDI said, “A great number of leading domestic companies, which perform well overseas, will take part in this year’s BIO KOREA. With our efforts to invite many foreign buyers, the event is expected to serve as a catalyst for exchanges between domestic and foreign companies.”
