Compact Diesel Vehicle
Hyundai Motor Company released the premium diesel version of The New Avante on October 14, to have a head-to-head contest with imported diesel vehicles.
Priced at 21.8 million won (US$20,400), the new model is characterized by its flex steering function and 10-way driver seat and parking assistance system added to the Modern version of the Avante.
“We have decided to add the new trim to our lineup in light of the fact that the sales ratio of the Modern, the highest trim of the Avante diesel models, exceeded 50% to enjoy huge popularity,” said the automaker, adding, “We are confident that the cost-competitive model will drive up the demand of diesel vehicles in Korea.” At present, the local diesel car market is dominated by imported vehicles.
