KGC Will Expands Global Markets for Red Ginseng Cosmetics

"We are planning to boost our premium image and expand into global markets in order to nurture Donginbi as a brand representing Korea," Korea Ginseng Corp. (KGC) announced on January 2.

In particular, internally the Cosmetics Business Office opened for the effective establishment of brands, and the Cosmetics Research Center was expanded to research and develop various skin care effects of red ginseng.

Donginbi developed through the exclusive red ginseng research on Jeongkwanjang, is premium red ginseng cosmetic product based on the optimization of active ingredients in 6-year-old ginseng. Three main raw materials, red ginseng condensate, red ginseng oil, and red ginseng extract are the basic bases.

"The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety proved the wrinkle-improving effects of red ginseng oil, which is a major ingredient of Donginbi," KGC said. “We are planning to gradually expand sales in the market with Donginbi Jin Essence as our flagship product. 

On top of that, KGC will launch new products that can maximize the skin care effects of red ginseng such as anti-aging and anti-pollution effects.

The ginseng-specialized company will also elevate customer contacts at duty free shops. As the first step, apart from Jeongkwangjang shops, they are operating Donginbi-only shops in duty-free shops.
