Audi Korea announced on October 14 that it will carry out a voluntary safety recall campaign. The recall involves 779 vehicles, including 419 from A6 2.4Q manufactured between July 20, 2001 and February 11, 2004; 36 from A62.7Q between July 25 and November 18, 2003; 253 from A63.0Q between September 5, 2001 and February 4, 2004; and 71 from Allroad Quattro’s 2.7T between March 27, 2002 and March 1, 2005.

This voluntary recall is attributable to the possibility of a gas leak. It was found that parts for the fuel tank rollover valve wore out easily, and the valve itself was cracking. For the subject vehicles, the company will do molding work to reinforce the rollover valve, and will replace additional parts such as fuel hose clamps and spacers free of charge.

The recall campaign will be conducted at Audi’s 20 official service centers nationwide from October 14, 2013 to April 13, 2015.
