KEPCO Engineering & Construction Co. (KEPCO E&C) announced that it ranked second in the sales of nuclear power plant design in the second week version report this month released by Engineering News Record (ENR), an U.S.-based magazine specializing in construction and engineering, on December 15.

ENR annually publishes industry rankings of construction and engineering companies around the world based on their sales achieved in countries outside their home countries in the previous year.

KEPCO E&C ranked 95th in overall design on the list of the Top 225 International Design Firms for 2015. By sector, the company placed 22th in power design sales overseas and 2nd in nuclear power plant design sales overseas with 108.5 billion won (US$92.6 million).

KEPCO E&C had topped the list in global nuclear power plant design sales for four years in a row from 2012 to 2015 and it has become the only Asian company ranked among the highest in the nuclear power plant design sector that is dominated by European and U.S. firms this year again.

Based on its experience and competence in engineering built up in the domestic power plant market, the company is successfully carrying out the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects to expand existing combined cycle power plants in Ghana and Ivory Coast in Africa.
