Korea Ginseng Corporation (KGC) announced that it took part in the 44th International Emmy Awards Gala held in New York City on November 21 (local time) as an official sponsor.

The International Emmy Awards is organized by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in the U.S. and participated in by 500 media related institutions from 60 countries around the world. It is also one of the world’s three largest international award ceremonies attended by 1,000 broadcast officials, celebrities and businessmen all over the world such as Oprah Winfrey and Alan Cumming.           

KGC was selected as an official sponsor in the gift bag beverage sector at the event and provided the two drink models of Cheong Kwan Jang specialized for the U.S. market – KG Energy and KG Slim.

The KG Energy is an energy drink made of 6-year-old Korean red ginseng extract and other natural ingredients that boost the vital energy in the body, while the KG Slim is a healthy diet drink that activates the metabolism of the body using 6-year-old Korean red ginseng extract, garsinia canbogia and green tea extract.

The two products were selected as the final choice for official sponsoring products at the event after receiving the highest marks from panels at the intense competition with well-known brands in the U.S. 

Cho Jeong-yoon, manager of the KGC U.S. Branch office, said, “We are targeting the U.S. high-end health functional foods market through the excellence and product differentiation of Cheong Kwan Jang’s red ginseng. As we are chosen as the official sponsor for the International Emmy Awards Gala this year, we have secured an opportunity to introduce Korea’s leading brand Cheong Kwan Jang to the world as well as the U.S.”
