Hyundai Motor Co. had the largest number of new best cars in a recent survey in India.

The company announced on December 1 that its three vehicle models – the Eon, the i10 and the Creta – have been named the best new cars in the 2016 India Initial Quality Study (IQS) released by global market researcher J.D. Power on November 30 (local time).

Hyundai had the largest number of new best cars, ranking in three out of eight vehicle segments in India, while Japanese automakers Toyota and Honda each had two vehicles named new best cars.

The 2016 IQS conducted by J.D. Power is based on customer satisfaction evaluations from owners who purchased their new vehicle in 30 major cities in India between from last year to July this year during the first two to six months of ownership and grade marks with problems experienced by new-vehicle owners per 100 vehicles. A lower score indicates means higher customer satisfaction.

In the latest survey, the Hyundai Eon was named the best new entry compact car with 96 points while the i10 and the Creta were named the best compact car and the best SUV with 64 points and 68 points, respectively.
