Samsung Electronics took the wrap off a visual diagnosis device in the 102nd annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) that will run from December 27 to December 1 (local time) in Chicago, the US.

Samsung Electronics showcased a variety of products including a digital x-ray, an imaging machine, an ultrasound diagnostic device, and a mobile computerized tomography (CT) system at the exhibition which the Korean electronic giant has been participating in for five years since 2012. Samsung Electronics put its mobile X-ray GM85 front and center. They developed the new product by taking into consideration of the various opinions of customers about the high-performance functions of conventional premium products in honor of the fifth anniversary of its advancement into the digital X-ray business.

Samsung Electronics will placed eight units of the system at the exhibition zone let visitors experience the system and hold an event to give a prize to visitors if they experience it directly. The GM85 successfully obtained a sales approval from the US FDA in the middle of November and will make its full-fledged entry into the US, the largest medical market with this exhibition as a beginning.

Samsung also exhibited a premium ultrasound diagnostic device 'RS80A with Prestige', which further upgraded its contrast enhancing function. The 'CEUS +' function of this product enhances the diagnosis of fine lesions with higher resolutions and helps doctors diagnose faster and more accurately with an automatic image optimization function.

In addition, the company will introduce “S-Detect” which is the world's first deep-running algorithm applied to the field of breast lesion ultrasound diagnosis, and “S-Fusion” which can compare and analyze human body parts with CT or MRI images with excellent coherence.

Samsung Electronics will also introduce a variety of mobile CTs such as “CereTom” which can be used in emergency ambulances, and “BodyTom,” which can be moved in operating room and emergency rooms.
