KEPCO NF announced that Lee Jae-hee, president and CEO of KEPCO NF won three prizes including the Gold Prize in the “CEO of The Year in Energy” category at the 13th International Business (IBA) Awards at Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Cavalieri, Rome on October 21. The Stevie Awards selected and announced the winners.

President Lee won the Gold Prize of the Best CEO Awards of the Year for his achievements of organizing future management strategies and revamping KEPCO NF’s corporate culture such as a new vision and a mid- to long-term strategic management plan via leadership for communication and innovation.

Judges said that President Lee contributed to the stable supply of electricity through seamless fuel supply, and it found new growth engines through the reinforcement of the company’s export base and expansion of its business scope in addition to establishing a sustainable management base.

In addition, KEPCO Nuclear Fuel nabbed the “Enterprise of the Year” Gold Prize in the energy sector in recognition of its management achievements including the development of original nuclear fuels, advanced technology and the development of eco-friendly technology and a prize in the Best Website category for active corporate communications.

The Stevie Awards was established as a premium business awards ceremony in the United States in 2002 and is called the Oscars for business. Every year, the Steve Awards gives prizes after evaluating the achievements of companies and employees, the results of business activities, and companies’ social contribution around the world. The IBA is one of these areas. In 2016, over 3,800 works and reports were presented from 60 countries and fiercely competed for the prizes.
