A total of 542 stock funds invested in foreign countries have been released in South Korea since the beginning of this year and no less than 90 of them are investing in Vietnam.

 

According to the Korea Financial Investment Association, a total of 542 stock funds invested in countries other than South Korea have been released in South Korea since the beginning of this year and no less than 90 of them are investing in Vietnam. The Vietnamese stock market has been bullish for approximately five years. This year, it reached an eight-year high of 688 points. The rate of return of Korea Investment & Securities’ Vietnam Equity Feeder Investment Trust Equity Balanced is 21.77% at this moment.

These days, Indonesia and the Philippines are drawing investors’ attention as well. In Indonesia, President Joko Widodo is coming up with a series of policy for corporate growth and infrastructure construction. The Philippines’ economic growth rate amounted to 7% in the second quarter of this year.

Under the circumstances, Shinhan BNP Paribas Asset Management released Shinhan BNPP VIP Securities Feeder Investment Trust H-Equity on October 17. It invests in Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines, which account for a ratio of investment similar to the other two in the financial product.

Mirae Asset’s Asia-Pacific Consumption Growth Equity Feeder Investment Trust 1 Equity invests 3.59% of itself in Kalbe Farma, the largest pharmaceutical company in Indonesia. The ratios are 5.35% and 3.65% regarding Filipino coffee company Universal Robina and Thai hotel resort chain Minor International PCL, respectively. Mirae Asset’s Asia-Pacific Infra Sector Equity Investment Trust 1 Equity invested 4.46% of its resources in Telekomunikasi Indonesia, the largest telecom operator in Indonesia, in July last year. The current ratio is estimated to be higher than that.
