Quntum Dot Gaming Monitor
Samsung Electronics announced on Oct. 17 that they launched two curved gaming monitor models (C24FG70 and C27FG70) that feature quantum dot technology.
The quantum dot technology of Samsung’s SUHD TV was applied to this new product that expresses brilliant and accurate colors across a 125 percent sRGB spectrum. This added luminance produces a 3,000:1 contrast ratio and amplifies details in both light and dark settings. The company adjusts minute differences in expressing natural colors on the screen of the monitor during the production process.
The quantum dot curved monitor supports a 1ms moving picture response time and a high refresh rate of 144Hz. Accordingly, users can enjoy high-quality pictures devoid of afterimages and image tearing in a game where images change very fast on the curved gaming monitor, Samsung Electronics explains.
The new product features a 1,800R curvature and an ultra-wide viewing angle and is loaded with arena lighting technology which responses to game sounds. The new quantum dot curved gaming monitor retails at 450,000 won (C24FG70 Model) and 600,000 won (C27FG70 Model), respectively.
