Paradise Culture Foundation, which is run by Paradise Group, opened its complex cultural space “Paradise ZIP” in Jangchung-dong, Seoul, on September 27 and held a special exhibition of artist group “MIOON.”

With an original structure of an old house renovated, the Paradise ZIP, which means a house of Paradise Group’s cultural art, allows visitors to experience various cultural contents, such as visual art, music and performance.

Architect Seung Hyo-sang turned an 80-year-old house beside its main office building into a cultural art complex with a concept of “cultural space created by traces of time” as a part of his talent donation. The Paradise ZIP has three floors and one level and it maintains the original structure of the house which enables visitors to enjoy cultural programs in a restful atmosphere as their own house.

The Paradise ZIP will hold four exhibitions a year with difference artists and themes. It will offer main exhibitions of noteworthy artists, multi exhibitions in various sectors, including design and architecture, and other performance in different genres, such as independent film, documentary, jazz, classic and Korean classical music for free.

Meanwhile, Paradise Culture Foundation are carrying out numerous cultural projects that seek out and support potential artists as well as develop contents of “non-verbal visual show.” Starting with Seoul, it also plans to establish various cultural art platforms, like Paradise PARK, which was renovated from an old Park Hotel in Seogwipo City of Jeju Island, and Paradise GALLERY, which is under construction in Youngjong Island of Incheon as the nation’s first complex resort paradise city, starting with Seoul.
