AIA Korea and SK Holdings C&C agreed on developing Korea’s leading customer centric integrated digital health and wellness ecosystem on Sept. 22.

 

AIA Korea and SK Holdings C&C (SK C&C) announced on Sept. 22 they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in order to develop Korea’s leading customer centric integrated digital health and wellness ecosystem. The platform utilizes AIA Vitality, the first and only science-backed health and wellness program in the Asia-Pacific region, and SK Aibril, SK’s own artificial intelligence (AI) proposition. The signing ceremony was attended by Bill Lisle, AIA Group Regional Chief Executive, Taejin Cha, AIA Korea CEO and Park Jung-ho, SK C&C CEO.

AIA Korea and SK C&C will fully leverage the power of AIA Vitality and SK Aibril to help motivate customers change and adopt a healthier lifestyle to reduce major chronic illnesses stemming from smoking, drinking, poor diet and lack of physical exercise.

SK C&C will deploy its own AI, Aibril, with Watson technology and Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities like wearable devices to provide personalized health and wellness service based on each individual’s lifestyle attributes and objectives. Further, SK Pangyo Cloud Data Center will be used to support this service.

AIA Vitality provides members with the knowledge, the tools and the motivation to improve their health. The program uses the principles of behavioral economics to promote healthy habits, rewarding members with meaningful benefits through a customer centric ecosystem, including discount coupons for fitness centers, yoga studios, health supplements, air tickets, coffee etc. for taking sustainable steps to improve their health and well-bring.

AIA Korea and SK C&C will also work together to develop an integrated digital health and wellness platform designed to accommodate potential health and wellness partners that will allow the platform users to benefit from a range of rewards as a motivation for improving their health.

AIA Group has successfully launched the AIA Vitality program in a number of other markets across Asia-Pacific region including Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
