Korea's leading instant noodle maker Nongshim will hold various events at home and abroad for two months from September 26 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its Shin Ramyun, the nation's best-selling instant noodle brand. The company announced on the 26th that it plans to offer free gifts to 30,000 customers.

For the event called “Find Golden Shin in Shin Ramyun Multi-packs,” a giveaway coupon with serial numbers can be found inside randomly selected Shin Ramyun multi-packs. To check whether you are winning numbers, visit the event's website (http://www.shinramyun.com/30th). Thirty lucky top prize winners will receive a 112.5 gram gold bar. Other prizes include Bluetooth speakers with a Shin Ramyun logo, hot pots and “Gifticons” of the Shin Ramyun big bowls.

Meanwhile, Nongshim has introduced its new Shin Ramyun package with its 30th anniversary logo, starting from September 1. The globe-shaped logo with numbers shows the global status of Shin Ramyun. An official from Nongshim said, “Shin Ramyun has grown into Korea’s representative food product that is exported to more than 100 countries across the world. We are also planning to enhance its status further through various events overseas.”

Shin Ramyun, which hit the market on October 2 in 1986, has been the nation's best-selling instant noodle brand since 1991. As of the end of 2015, the ramen was the first Korean food product to surpass 10 trillion won (US$9.02 billion) in accumulated sales.
