LG Electronics will accelerate its invasion of the European premiums market with Centum System home electronics products with 20-year warranties.
The electronics giant announced on August 31 that they will launch a Centum System refrigerator and drier in the European market following a Centum System washing machine launched in the European market in the first half of this year. They will launch the refrigerator and drier in major European countries after launching the washing machine in Germany, Italy, France, the UK, Spain, the Netherlands
The Centum System is LG’s original technology that enhances the durability and energy efficiency of premium electric home appliances while reducing their noises with motors of washing machines and compressors of refrigerators. LG Electronics warranties inverter DD motors of washing machines and inverter linear compressors of refrigerators for 20 years for the first time in the industry.
Earlier, LG Electronics introduced the vibration, high efficiency of the Centum System washing machine and the high efficiency of the Centum System refrigerator via storytelling marketing in connection with the Guinness Book of Records. The products were well received by consumers at home and abroad.
A washing machine based on this system reduced 60% more energy than one with an energy efficiency grade of A+++. During high-speed washing, its noise stands at 67dB which is the lowest level among drum washing machines of the same class selling in Europe.
Thanks to high-efficiency inverter linear compressor technology, An LG top-bottom, fridge-freezer based on this system consumed 20% less energy than a similar model with an A+++ grade. An LG side-by-side model lowered energy use 10% than a similar model with an A+++ grade.
LG Electronics is planning to take the warp off refrigerators and driers based the Centum System at the IFA 2016 to be held in Berlin, Germany from September 2 to 7 (local time) and launch them in Europe within this year.
