Housing Finance Development
Korea Housing Finance Corporation (KHFC) announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the housing finance market development with Indonesia’s state-run secondary mortgage provider, Sarana Multigriya Finansial (SMF), in Jakarta, Indonesia, on August 31.
With the latest MOU, KHFC will transfer expertise related to housing finance, such as issuance of mortgage-backed security (MBS) and revitalization of the market, to SMF and strengthen cooperative exchanges between the two countries.
An official from KHFC said, “Under the MOU, we will expand partnership between the two countries by offering invitational training sessions and knowledge sharing programs (KSP). We will also establish a cooperative relationship with other Asian countries, including Kazakhstan and Myanmar, to introduce our expertise in housing finance in the future.”
Meanwhile, KHFC signed a MOU with the Philippines’s National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) last year and Thailand’s Secondary Mortgage Corporation (SMC) this year, actively involving in international cooperation projects.
