Gwangju Metropolitan City has joined hands with Jangheung County to cooperate for international events to be held in the coming September.

On August 9, Jangheung County and Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Yoon Jang-hyun) met Gwangju Biennale Foundation (President Park Yang-woo) to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the business room on the third floor of Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall to successfully host international events.

Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jangheung County will hold the Jangheung International Integrative Medicine Expo 2016 from September 29 to October 31, the Gwangju Biennale from September 2 to November 6 and the Chungjang Festival from September 29 to October 3.

With the latest agreement, the three parties will seek for mutual growth of the two regions by successfully hosting the international events and creating the boom, develop tourism products and carry out promotional activities to attract tourists at home and abroad, propel joint cooperation businesses to develop the tourism industry, and cooperate to presell the tickets of the international events at discounted prices.

Meanwhile, the Jangheung International Integrative Medicine Expo 2016 will take place in Jangheung County of South Jeolla Province, for 33 days from September 29 to October 31 with a theme of “Integrative Medicine, Opening a New Path Towards People.”
