The Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) pushes ahead with the development of an industrial complex to house Korean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Yangon, Myanmar.

LH said on August 10, “We are discussing detailed issues with the Myanmar government after deciding to build an industrial complex with a floor space of 2.38 square meters near Yangon in Myanmar.”

The industrial park will be built in a way the Myanmar government lends land and LH develops it, and then Korean SMEs move into it. Up to date, shoe maker Taekwang and apparel manufacturer Sae-A Trading said they would move in.

LH will confirm the project by submitting an investment proposal to the Myanmar Investment Commission after it selects a constructor to build the complex and establish a consortium with those firms.
