The two products are certified to Super E0 (SE0), the lowest formaldehyde emission class

LG Hausys announced on July 28 that it has recently released two ZEA products – “ZEA Solid Wood Floors,” which is made from solid wood coated with polylactic acid (PLA) extracted from corn, and “ZEA Green Tea Floors,” which is a plywood flooring product with green tea extract.

The two products are certified to Super E0 (SE0), the lowest formaldehyde emission class, with less than 0.3mg/L of the formaldehyde emission at tests conducted by the FITI Testing & Research Institute.

Processed timber products are divided into E2, E1, E0 and SE0 classes based on the formaldehyde emission. Only products certified to higher than the E0 class can be used to produce furniture at home.

The ZEA Solid Wood Floors has soft design in the joints of solid wood to offer comfort from walk and is resistant to contamination and water with UV coating. The product also has maximized the texture of natural wood with the brushing technology on the surface.

The ZEA Green Tea Floors is a plywood flooring product which realizes the feel of solid wood by layering thin sliced veneer on the plywood. It is an eco-friendly product which includes green tea extract, which can absorb toxic substances, between the sliced veneer on the surface and the plywood on the bottom. Moreover, it has high heating efficiency with excellence in heat transfer, fitting the ondol, Korea's traditional underfloor heating system.
