Nonghyup (NH) Bank said on July 27 that Nam Seung-woo, a chief information security officer (CISO) and the vice president of the information security department, has been chosen as an honoree in the category of “Information Security Project Management Professional” in the 10th Anniversary of Asia-Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements (ISLA) ceremony held in Bangkok, Thailand on July 26 by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2).

ISC2 is the world’s largest non-profit IT security organization established in 1989. It is the official organization that maintains and administers the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) examination. It has over 100,000 members from 135 nations all over the world.

NH Bank said that vice president Nam has successfully carried out several projects, including the establishment and implementation of a comprehensive plan for information protection, to greatly improve its safety of information security since he took office as its chief information security officer.

“With the award, NH Bank’s various efforts to protect customer information assets have been recognized,” said vice president Nam, adding, “I would like to give this honor to all the colleagues, who have worked together to improve information security.”
