SK Holdings C&C, a data services firm, announced on July 13 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with a local robot company at the SK Holdings C&C headquarters in Bundang, Seongnam, to develop new robot solutions in order to activate the domestic robot market.

Under the latest MOU, the two companies will develop solution models in various robot-based industries, diagnose and solve problems in an actual application stage, come up with effective connecting measures with existing IT systems and set up an update environment for services.

Moreover, they will work together to advance Robocare’s robot-based healthcare and IoT services and marketing strategy as part of their plan to promote small robot makers with technology.

SK Holdings C&C will deploy its competence in IT services and ICT, such as AI, big data and cloud computing technologies, for the joint project while Robocare will make use of its robotic expertise. Based on this, the two will develop new robot services and businesses, taking the lead in boosting the domestic robot market.

Meanwhile, SK Holdings C&C has recently introduced its ICT convergence service brands, like cloud platform Cloud Z and artificial intelligence system Aibril, in a bid to turn into a data service firm.
