Shinhan Bank announced on July 7 that Shinhan Bank Vietnam has opened its 15th branch in Go Vap district in Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City. It has increased the number of branches of Shinhan Bank Vietnam to 15, the highest among foreign banks. It will open three additional branches by the end of this year.

The Go Vap district, where the new branch is located, is a middle-class residential area with 550,000 residents. In the district, two major South Korean commercial retailers, E-Mart and Lotte Mart, also have been in operation. Given all this, the new branch plans to be operated as a branch specialized in retail.

Shinhan Bank Vietnam appointed its first female manager for the new branch. She has a good reputation due to her diligence and meticulous attention to detail. Twenty-one years after she joined the HCM branch of Shinhan Bank in 1995, she has earned the honor of being its first female manager.

In the meantime, the opening ceremony of the new branch was attended by Shinhan Bank Vice President Seo Hyun-ju and heads of major organizations in HCM City, including Korean consulate general in HCM City Park Noh-wan and Go Vap District People's Committee Chairman Le Hoang Ha.
