Hyundai Motor Group has unveiled photos of a wearable robot, still under development, via its official blog on May 13. It is considered a realistic wearable robot that one can wear by simply buckling into it, though it doesn’t cover up the whole body like the suit seen in “Iron Man,” a Hollywood blockbuster movie.

The wearable robot is a robot that you can wear to help you enhance your overall physical strength and do something you cannot do.

The Korean version of the developed “Iron Man suit” will be first used in many areas, including production lines, like plants, future weapon systems. It will also be used in assisting people with disabilities.

Hyundai Motor Group is also developing various types of Iron Man suits, such as hydrodynamic wearable robots which can increase physical strength by 20 times and electric wearable robots which can increase the strength by 8 times with a simple gear.

Moreover, the group introduced “H-LEX,” a wearable walking assistance robot which can be used by a wide range of client groups, including the elderly and the disabled, at the National Instrument Week 2015 held at Austin, Texas, last year, attracting attention.
