Mirae Asset Chief Formally Becomes Chairman of Mirae Asset Daewoo Securities

Mirae Asset Financial Group Chairman Park Hyeon-joo has formally become chairman of Mirae Asset Daewoo Securities on May 13.

Now, Park plans to directly lead the two securities units – Mirae Asset Daewoo and Mirae Asset Securities.

During the latest business strategy meeting held before the inauguration of chairman at Mirae Asset Daewoo, Park said, “With the merger of the two companies, we will create the DNA of Korean securities business which becomes the leading company in the world beyond Asia. Let’s make the company which allows people to have a happier old age, based on the absolute competitiveness.” 

Park set up Mirae Asset Global Investments in 1997, Mirae Asset Securities in 1999 and Mirae Asset Life Insurance in 2005, turning Mirae Asset Group into a leading investment group in Korea.
