Recently, Samsung Electronics’ new version of its budget Galaxy J series smartphones was spotted on a benchmarking listing.

According to Chinese information technology website MyDrivers.com on May 3, Antutu benchmark revealed the specifications of the Galaxy J2.

According to leaked database, the Galaxy J2 with the model number SM-J210 will come with Spreadtrum SC8830 chipset with 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, a 5-inch (1280 x 720 Pixels) HD display, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. It will also feature a 5MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera, and run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

It is said that Spreadtrum SC8830 processor only supports 2G and 3G networks instead of 4G LTE. Accordingly, the Galaxy J2 is expected to be launched in emerging markets, such as China and India.

In addition, this device was also spotted on a GeekBench listing, and achieved 404 points in the test in single core and 1274 points in the test multi-core. The Galaxy J2 (2016) was also spotted on India’s import and export website Zauba with a price tag of 6,868 Rupee (US$103.54 or 118,061 won), attracting attention.
