IFA, Europe’s largest consumer electronics trade show which opened its doors in Berlin on September 6, ends on September 11. 

The unveiling ceremony for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 at this year's IFA.At this year’s IFA, a new generation of TVs, high-efficiency smart household electronics, and innovative mobile devices captured the eyes of the visitors. 

In particular, Samsung Electronics unveiled its Galaxy Gear smart watch along with the Galaxy Note 3, opening the era of commercial wearable devices. LG Electronics displayed its tablet G Pad in a separate mobile booth and Sony Electronics announced its smartphone Xperia Z1, marking its return to the market.

In the next generation of TVs, Ultra HDTVs that boast of resolutions four times clearer than Full HD were the center of attention. Samsung Electronics announced the world’s first 55 and 65-inch curved UHD TV, and LG Electronics announced a 77-inch curved UHD OLED TV, the largest of its kind in the world. 

Trends in household electronics were focused on energy efficiency. European consumers’ interest in energy efficiency and national environmental regulations played a part. Korean companies such as Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics and European companies such as Bosch, Miele, and Simens prepared a separate display for products that received the highest A+++ grade in European energy efficiency ratings.

The Galaxy Gear is a smart watch accessory for the Galaxy Note 3 or a revamped Galaxy Note 10.1.
