Samsung SDS has kick-started its efforts to put up a good show in the global business this year, targeting the global market.

The company announced on Apr. 21 that it will raise results in its solution business in earnest by expanding global outlet channels and strengthening business systems through select and concentration strategy.

As part of the plan, the company showcased a series of smart office systems and networks called “SamsungSDS Collabo” at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 held in Barcelona, Spain, in Feb., receiving a favorable response from visitors. The newly-introduced products will offer more efficient office life on a mobile-embedded IT platform, beyond e-mail, which was the main communication means for office use in the past.

SamsungSDS Collabo features its Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) technology. When users lose their devices, the company's EMM will prevent them from leaking information. SamsungSDS’ EMM offers an integrated security service, encompassing devices, applications and content, and it has been obtained security certification from the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) under the National Security Agency (NSA) in the United States.

The new product comes with Fast Identity Online (FIDO), its biometric recognition system. The FIDO office security system uses fingerprint and facial recognition technology as well as public key infrastructure (PKI) technology. Since PKI needs a different key to decoding data after encoding, it has a lower chance for information leakage.

In addition, Samsung SDS will focus on the logistics business to enter the marketing logistics of major customers, expand services to manufacturers and accelerate seeking customers abroad. Currently, the company provides international distribution services through its differentiated and competitive logistics solution called “Cello.” Based on this, it recently signed a series of contracts with local and global companies, expanding its business to global markets.

Based on its capability in IT areas, in particular, Samsung SDS analyzes its business process outsourcing (BPO) systems with big data and innovates global logistics operation with the future visibility management. It accumulates a wide range of logistics information, including satellite AIS, in real time and plans moving routes using the information.
