Incheon City announced that it signed a business agreement on March 29 with Chinese cosmetics company Aurance Group and the Incheon Tourism Organization in order to continue with the Chinese company’s visit to Incheon until 2018.

Under the agreement, Aurance Group is to hold incentive meetings in the city until 2018 and the other two parties are to assist in the meetings.

6,000 Aurance Group employees visited Incheon on March 28. They enjoyed chicken and beer in Wolmido, visited the Songdo Convensia for an in-house event, enjoyed cultural performances and headed to Seoul for tourism on April 1 before returning to their home country.

Their visit ended with great success, contributing to the reputation of Incheon as a perfect venue for business conferences and incentive tourism. A 20-member Chinese press corps including Xinhua News Agency reporters stayed in the city for reporting purposes from April 14 to 15. They visited the places including Wolmido, China Town, Songdo Convensia and Unique Venue.

Incheon City mayor Yoo Jeong-bok met the reporters and explained about Incheon’s strengths as a MICE industry hub. He also said that the city is open to business conference organizers’ visits and networking with companies in the MICE industry.
