Samsung Electronics Co.'s latest high-end smartphones, the Galaxy S7 series, earned the top rating by leading consumer media in five European countries – the U.K., France, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands as well as the U.S.
According to industry sources on Apr. 13, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge ranked first and second with scores of 93 and 92 at the recent smartphone test carried by British consumer media “Which.”
The news outlet said, “The score of 93 achieved by the Galaxy S7 is the highest ratings ever. The model was picked as the best smartphone due to its features such as design, camera, battery, SD memory card slot, and water and dust resistance.” For the purchase recommendation, it said the Galaxy S7 series are “fantastic phones” and “absolutely recommend” them.
Other consumer media, such as France’s Que Choisir, Spain’s OCU-Compra Maestra, Belgium’s Test Aankoop and the Netherlands’ Consumentenbond, also chose the Galaxy S7 edge as the best smartphone in their recent product reviews. They gave the model top ratings in all major assessment categories, including image quality, camera and usability.
Earlier, the Galaxy S7 series also took first and second place with scores of 79 and 80 in the best smartphone list released by the Consumer Reports, America's most popular nonprofit subscription consumer media, on March 23.
