LG Electronics Picked Actor Jason Statham Joins as Model for G5 TV Commercial

LG announced on March 29 that they will unveil the main TV commercial for the G5 smartphone in Korea, the US and the UK beginning this week. LG Electronics picked out world-class actor Jason Statham as a model for the commercial.

The G5 TV commercial was directed by Fredrik Bond who directed TV commercials for global companies such as Facebook and Heineken. Impressive action acting in "Transporter" and "Furious" among other films catapulted the British model and actor to big stardom.   

The TV commercial was shot in downtown LA. The TV commercial captured a fast-moving Jason Statham in various places such as subways and banks and the street. On top that, Statham played ten roles including a waiter, a janitor and a baby while putting an emphasis on LG Friends’ joyful experiences.

The electronic heavyweight is strengthening its marketing such as letting about one million customers get their hands on the new product. LG Electronics is publicizing the G5 at about 1,500 stores and large-scale product experience zones across the nation.
