The name of the device is “Triton.” It allows you to breathe underwater for 45 minutes with no other specialized equipment, particularly an oxygen tank.

The Triton contains “Microporous Hollow Fiber” with openings allegedly smaller than water molecules, but big enough to let oxygen through. A battery then runs a powerful micro-compressor that extracts and stores the oxygen in a tiny tank.

This gives the wearer the ability to go up to 15 feet (457 meters) underwater for up to 45 minutes with a two-hour charge. The device is 29 centimeters long and 12 centimeters wide. Since it lets you breathe normally underwater and is lightweight, it can be used anywhere you can swim.

YEKA innotec, the developer of the Triton, is a startup founded in 2014. One of its co-founders is a Korean named Yun Jae-byun. He is in charge of design at the company.

The company has succeeded in raising US$590,000 (688.53 million won) at the world's largest crowdfunding platform, Indiegogo, attracting attention. The figure is 11 times higher than its target of US$50,000 (58.35 million won).

At Indiegogo, the Triton is on sale with a price tag of US$299 (348,933 won) from March. After the funding period, it will be sold at US$399 (465,633 won). When the funding is over next month, the device will be delivered from December this year.
