It has been found that the amount of pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S7 series exceeded 10 million in China in nine days since the opening of the pre-sale on March 11. This is welcome news for Samsung Electronics in that it ranked as low as sixth in terms of market share in China last year.

Experts point out that the pre-sale amount is quite significant with respect to that of the iPhone 6 series in China, about 20 million, as well because Apple has tended to attract a much larger number of customers during its pre-sale periods.

The popularity of the Galaxy S7 is not limited to China. Earlier, Samsung Electronics announced that the pre-order volume of the Galaxy S7 Edge and the Galaxy S7 in the United States and Europe was more than 2.5 times that of the Galaxy S6.

It is said that the unique design of the Galaxy S7 Edge is particularly appealing to many consumers. In Europe, the Galaxy S7 Edge accounted for approximately 86% of the total pre-orders for the Galaxy S7 series.
