RoboUniverse 2016 to Take Place in Seoul in June

The RoboUniverse 2016 will take place at the Korean International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Insan from June 22 to 24. It is an “end user” conference and exposition for robot technologies, covering the key technologies and trends in the industry, such as robot application technologies and artificial intelligence systems.

RoboUniverse, the first global tradeshow series for the service robotics industry, had four events scheduled for 2015; New York in May, Seoul in June, Tokyo in October, and San Diego in December. In particular, RoboUniverse Seoul was participated in by 80 companies and 7,000 visitors from 12 countries during a three-day event despite the outbreak of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), attracting media attention at home and abroad.

As the business to business (B2B) event, the RoboUniverse 2016 will be attended by 20,000 officials from over 20 countries, including producers, technology developers, conglomerates, start-ups, politicians, academic experts, venture capital firms in the robot industry.

It will also be the largest event about Modern Robotics, such as service robots, assistive technologies – artificial legs and artificial hands, bionic and wearable robots, smart drones, healthcare and education robots, manufacturing robots – square bridge, horizontal and articulated robots, home robots and exoskeleton robots.

Participants will be able to see robots, which can be used in real life, extended service areas with the combination of the Internet of Everything (IoE) and the Internet of Things (IoT) and market value creation cases.

The RoboUniverse 2016 is running concurrently with the VR Summit, an international conference on Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) which were the talk of the town at the CES and MWC in 2016. At the VR Summit, participants will be able to see application technologies, contents and solutions of VR and AR, which can be used in many industries and markets.

Since it is an international business conference related to robot, drone and VR and AR, which are core technologies setting the global trend, the RoboUniverse 2016 will be visited by buyers, investors and media around the world.
