Korean major e-commerce players Gmarket and Auction said that they will begin the sales of Xiaomi’s 40-inch LED TV “Mi TV2” for 489,000 won (US$406) on March 7.

With an official approval, the retailers are the first to offer Xiaomi’s TV for sale in the local open market.

With a full HD display, the Mi TV2 supports Korean operating systems and user environments, H.265 codec and Dolby and DTS sound systems. It is also possible to install and use Android-based applications and mirror your smartphone contents to your smart TV with a smart mirroring function.

Kim Choong-il, head of home appliance division at Gmarket, said, “Xiaomi’s TV, which has been attracting a lot of attention from domestic consumers even before the official release, following IT products, is now available only in Gmarket and Auction. As a differentiated service, Gmarket and Auction is offering a special same-day delivery event when a consumer buys the product in the morning on the first day of sales.”
