Seoul Semiconductor announced on September 3 that it developed the Acrich2 LED Module with an optical efficiency of 20% higher than that of the previous model. The new product is characterized by the highest level of light efficiency in the world, in spite of the optical and thermal losses that are generated during the production of LED lighting systems.

The 10-watt product can achieve 1,400 lumens in cool white and 1,250 lumens in warm white. Also, the company improved the arrangement of the components in order to provide optical patterns optimized for ceiling lighting fixtures such as living room lamps, porch lamps, and sensor lights.

“The Acrich2 Module with 140lm/W has great advantages in terms of lighting safety and design efficiency,” said Marten Willemsen, vice president of the manufacturer. He added, “It has already been applied to the products of global lighting equipment manufacturers and put on sale in American stores.”
