3D Printing Conference

The Inside 3D Printing Conference & Expo 2016, the largest professional 3D printing and additive manufacturing event worldwide, will take place at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, for three days from June 22 to 24. At the conference, attendees will explore the world’s latest 3D printing trend, 3D printers and services, technologies and business applications.

The Inside 3D Printing Conference & Expo 2014 was the first trade show solely dedicated to 3D printing in Korea, and Bloomberg TV, a US-based business and financial news network, described it as a shock-and-awe festival. The event is being held in Korea for the third time this year.

It is co-hosted by the KINTEX and Rising Media, the leading online news outlet and producer of global trade shows and conferences in the U.S. that has 5 million members of experts and industry officials in various areas covering 3D printing, robotics, drone, new material, fintech and ICT. From 2014, Rising Media has been successfully hosting global trade shows dedicated to 3D printing, robotics, drone and fintech, in cooperation with the KINTEX.

This year, about 40 international experts on the 3D printing application field, such as metal 3D printing, platform and software, jewelry, biotechnology, printing material, industrial design and intellectual property, will visit Korea to hold the global conference, and the trade show will also be participated in by 80 companies from 18 countries worldwide and major sponsors.

In particular, there is much attention towards quantitative and qualitative changes attempted in the trade show. Nearly 18 major companies at home and abroad, including MakerBot, which was taken over by Stratasys, and Hanil Protech, from 18 countries will take part in the event, and the exhibition space will be increased by over 30 percent. As companies, which produce metal materials and 3D printing platforms and software that are vital for the growth of the 3D printing industry, are scrambling to join the event, it is expected to create and expand the ecosystem of the domestic 3D printing industry.
