North Gyeongsang Province has selected 10 travel agencies, which will develop specialized products. In particular, the province is making effort to attract galloping Chinese tourists by choosing four travel agencies in China.
In addition, it has implemented the incentive program for group tourists from Feb. 15.
Specifically, it will provide incentives when a travel agency develops medical tourism products by making use of eight medical tour hospitals in the province, such as Dongguk University Gyeongju Hospital and Gumi Gangdong Hospital, in order to vitalize higher value-added medical tourism products, including plastic surgery and medical examination.
Moreover, the province will attract group tourists by offering support programs for MICE tourism, such as corporate incentive travel products
Jeon Hwa-sik, director of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in North Gyeongsang Province, said, “We will actively develop and sell products, which use Chinese specialized materials owned by the province including Saemaeul, Choe Chi-won and sea, by strengthening cooperation with travel agencies.”
