Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) held the inauguration ceremony of its new CEO Kim Jung-rae at the headquarters in Ulsan on February 2.

Kim began his career at Hyundai Engineering and Construction in 1976. He also served as the executive director of Hyundai Oil, current Hyundai Oilbank, and CEO of Hyundai Corp. and Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI). Serving in various posts in major subsidiaries of Hyundai Group, he has been recognized as the top expert in the field.

At the inauguration ceremony, Kim said he will work together with employees to overcome the crisis at hand and make every effort to make the KNOC take off once again by making the best use of his accumulated experience and expertise in the company in the past 40 years.

In particular, he also added he will dedicate his best efforts to pursue the KNOC’s strategy seeking qualitative growth through substantiality, to efficiently manage its assets and to achieve its management target of global integrated management.
