The Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation is introducing emerging Korean venture firms to other countries through their English-language Web site.

The center has launched an English website listing promising venture companies under all centers for Creative Economy and Innovation across the nation (www.startupkorea.com) on Jan. 1, 2016. It is a project that has been prepared by the Gyeonggi Center from March 30, 2015 when the center set sail in a bid to serve as a hub to help overseas expansion by connecting the centers for Creative Economy and Innovation around the nation with foreign investors.

The new website is designed to help the centers for Creative Economy and Innovation share information with each other and to provide convenience when foreign investors seek to grasp the current situation of startups at the centers. It will serve as a database platform that allows global companies and overseas start-up support organizations to seek partners for joint research and development projects and companies to sponsor, respectively.

Information about products and services offered by nurturing startups and their promotional videos are posted on the website. Currently, it has information about 300 companies. In addition to all centers for Creative Economy and Innovation throughout the country, the Web site also has information about companies incubated by the nation’s leading startup support organizations such as the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA) and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency.
