Lotte World Tower, the tallest building in both Koreas, will hold an event for the New Year’s Eve countdown.

Greeting the Year of the Monkey, Lotte Corporation is hosting the “2016 Lotte World Tower New Year Twist Show,” creating a scene with LED lighting installed from the 13th floor to 100th floor of the building.

As the second part of “Lotte LumiArt Show,” which took place from Dec. 19 to 25, it is the first New Year’s Eve countdown video show to be held in Lotte World Tower. Starting with the New Year’s Eve countdown light show created by Marc Brickman, who directed a light show at the Empire State Building in New York, a New Year’s message and video will be shown on the screen.

The 2016 Lotte World Tower New Year Twist Show will begin with a countdown on Dec. 31, the last day of the year, and end on Jan. 13, 2016. The lighting show will be screened for 5 minutes every hour on the hour and 20 minutes and 40 minutes past the hour from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. every day, lighting the night sky of Jamsil.

Celebrating Christmas, Lotte Corp. hosted the first part of its lighting show, “LumiArt Show”, on Lotte World Tower from Dec. 19 to 25, and has prepared the second part of the show to greet the New Year.
