The shipment of Nongshim Baeksansoo, which includes water from Mt. Baekdu, arrived at the Port of Busan on Dec. 7, after passing through the Port of Najin in North Korea. It is the first private commercial container shipments through the Port of Najin to South Korea after setting up economic sanctions against North Korea on May 24 in 2010.

Nongshim Baeksansoo used the Port of Najin as part of the third pilot transportation of the Najin-Khasan project. The project is renovating railroads connecting from Khasan in Russia and the Port of Najin in North Korea, modernizing the Port of Najin and offering complex logistics services under the supervision of POSCO, Hyundai Merchant Marine and Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) and is sponsored by the Ministry of Unification and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Nongshim, the Baeksansoo is transported from Baeksansoo production plant in Erdaobaihe to the Port of Dalian, Yanbian through railway. It then passes through sea routes to reach the Port of Pyeongtaek or the Port of Busan.

The shipments of Nongshim Baeksansoo, which arrived at the Port of Busan, included 10 shipping containers weighing approximately 170 tons. The total amount of Baeksansoo brought through above mentioned route into the domestic market this year reached 100,000 tons . The figure next year is expected to double from this year to 200,000 tons.
