Wonki World

Wonki Sansam Co., which took over CNB Tec earlier, is finally launching its gaming platform called “Society.” An official from the company said on Nov. 23 that it will host the Society launching event on the fifth floor in the Grand Ballroom of the JW Marriott Hotel at 6 p.m. on Dec. 15.

The showcase will be participated in by 20 members from Gag Concert, a popular sketch-comedy TV show in Korea, who belongs to JNU Entertainment under JNU Group, the parent company of which is Wonki Sansam, and 15 Vietnamese models.

Also, the event will be a great occasion attended by 500 people, including 70 news reporters, 50 presidents and executives from investment companies, celebrities at home and from abroad and presidents from partner companies to provide Society products. Developed by Wonki Sansam, the Society is a 3D e-commerce platform that provides services allowing users to receive actual products through games.

Although many advergames suffered a defeat, the Society is said to be different.

This is because of “fruits” which can be created. In general crop farming simulations, the fruits only exist in the game. However, users can receive actual fruit and processed products produced via Society when they pay shipping fees. In the Society’s online store, there are currently 463 products registered from 73 companies, including Samsung, Sony, SK and Wonki Sansam. By the end of the year, the company is planning to register 10,000 products from 500 companies in its online store.

Once the online-to-offline (O2O) commerce marketing strategy, a revolutionary idea from Wonki Sansam CEO Kim Dae-young, become a reality through games, CNB Tec, or JNU Global, is expected to gradually expand its sales distribution network and make massive operating profits in the future.
