In a bid to attract global investment in Korean startups and seek business opportunities, K-ICT Born2Global Center hosted an overseas demo day at Marriott Hotel in Santa Clara, California, on Nov. 13 (local time). The event was hosted by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (Minister Choi Yang-hee), organized by KOTRA and the NIPA, and supported by Born2Global Center as part of the K TECH ▶ K GLOBAL @ Silicon Valley 2015. It is a large-scale event attended by Korean startups, U.S. businesses, venture investors and technical experts.

In particular, three startups supported by Born2Global Center made the top three at the demo day. Huinno (www.huinno.com) won the crown, followed by Smart Study (www.smartstudy.co.kr) and Bluepin (www.bluepin.com). A total of 10 teams participated in the demo day.

Meanwhile, the event was attended by more than 250 major venture and angel investors of Silicon Valley Bank, SoftBank, Garage Technology Venture and Concordia Ventures from Silicon Valley, New York and the Middle East.
