90% of Facebook users in Korea connect to Facebook on their mobile phones.
On August 14, Facebook released statistics on the number of monthly users using Facebook through PC and mobile phones.
According to the report, Facebook had 11 million monthly active users in Korea in June 2013. Approximately 9.9 million, 90% of total users, connected to Facebook on their mobile phones, and 6.2 million, or 63% of them, used Facebook every day. Regardless of the device used, 60% of all active users connect to Facebook at least once a day.
“These statistics show that Facebook offers opportunities for brands to connect with more targeted customers,” said Facebook personnel. “We will strive to provide a more effective marketing environment for the mobile environment,” he added.
