The Gwanyang Bay Free Economic Zone (FEZ) Authority announced that they conducted investment attraction activities for companies specialized in functional chemical materials and advanced parts and materials by touring Paris and Toulouse, France, Munich, Germany, and Austria for nine days from Oct. 15 through 23.

This time, their activities zoomed in on publicizing infrastructure in the Gwangyang Bay area in cooperation with local economic organizations such as the French Green Chemicals Cluster, the Toulouse Chemical Innovation Centre, the Toulouse Chamber of Commerce, the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and overseas KOTRA offices.

In particular, they made diversified efforts to realize their goals on a tight schedule by holding customized investment inducement meetings via visits to promising companies and invitation-based meetings with potential investors in connection with the Functional Chemicals Cluster and the Foreign Company-Only Industrial Complex in the Sepung Industrial Complex.

The Gwanyang Bay Free Economic Zone Authority said that they will create excellent investment conditions such as the designation of a foreign investment zone, the establishment of a functional chemicals R&D center, and the creation of a bio-packaging cluster. They will work tirelessly to attract related enterprises based on them with the aim of creating the Sepung Industrial Complex specialized in functional chemical materials and advanced parts and materials.
